On Sunday, October 12, 2025, YEI and DemocraShe held a joint online workshop. During the workshop, we explored how we could empower youth to take part in shaping the future of democracy and the economy.
As part of the workshop, The YEI gave an introduction to economics and emphasized the importance of understanding economics. To add on to the YEI's presentation DemocraShe presented on Youth and Gender Inclusion in Advocacy, expressing the need for young women to increase their participation in important conversations in civic life. To finish up the workshop teams were asked to design a nonprofit business idea that helps close gender or youth gaps in economic participation, financial literacy, or entrepreneurship.
